Natural Chinese Herbs
Hi, my name is Jet Li, is a registered acupuncturist, herbalist, teacher of acupuncture, teacher of Tai Chi and Qi Gong working in Victoria and Duncan BC Canada.
I offer a full package of authentic and professional acupuncture, acupressure massage, cupping, Guasha, moxibustion, natural herbal prescription and life style counselling.
I have practiced Tai Chi, Qi Gong and meditation for almost ten years. The practices allow me to have a better understanding and experience of Qi, which is the key concept in the system of meridians. As a result, I am able to accurately pinpoint pressure points or blockages and then create a gentle yet effective stimulation to the body through either needles or hands.
I also offer a unique class called Tai Chi Gong, a class combining Tai Chi, Qi Gong, meridian tapping, chanting and guided meditation. The class is a result of my years of study and training in the field of health and wellness.
ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is effective for a wide ranges of conditions: arthritis, atrophy, depression, digestive disorder, eczema, frozen shoulder, infertility, impotence, insomnia, MS, different kinds of pain, vertigo and much more. It works by breaking and releasing nodules (scar tissues/adhesions) to encourage better circulation of Qi (prana/energy) and blood.
ACCUPRESSURE
A Chinese way of massage using pressure points on the meridians. Besides being a great way to relax, acupressure provides benefits for a variety of medical conditions. Session may include pressure points on the head, arms, legs, back and the front of the body.
FIRE CUPPING/GUASHA SCRAPING
Cupping is a Traditional Chinese Medicine approach that involves placement of glass or plastic cups on the skin. By creating a partial vacuum, muscles are drawn into the cups greatly increasing circulation on a capillary level to the area. It is a great way to relieve muscle tension, accelerate metabolism and rejuvenate skin.
Guasha scrapping is a massage technique where a special tool made of jade or buffalo horn is used to gently scrape and massage the skin for better circulation, metabolism and rejuvenation. Both jade and buffalo horn have a medicinal property of “cooling” and rejuvenating the skin.
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE
Chinese Medicine philosophy provides us insights on the healing power of the body and mind. Chinese herbal medicine has been used to treat internal medicine disease, gynecological disease, pediatric disease, psychological disorder and physical injury, etc for over 5000 years. Chinese culture has been the longest continuous civilization, which also withstood the challenge of many epidemic diseases throughout its history. Chinese medicine doesn't claim to kill any viruses or bacteria but by simply balancing the Yin and Yang, Qi and Blood, a healthy system can be restored. However, there are not enough proofs that TCM may treat COVID, if you have any flu like symptoms, please seek medical authority for help.
If you keep removing molds from a log, they will always come back. If you put the log underneath the sun, the molds will forever disappear.
TAI CHI GONG
Throughout my years of practice in Tai Chi, Chi Gong and Yoga, I has developed a unique style of exercises called “Tai Chi Gong”. By and large, Tai Chi Gong is a combination of Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Yoga, chanting, meridian tapping, guided meditation and education (on variety of health issues, lifestyle, eastern philosophy and spirituality, etc). It is designed to heal the body, relax the mind, and bring clarity to one’s perception. The exercises in this class are gentle, calming, holistic and easy to follow and highly effective for pain and stress. There are sitting and standing components to this class. I continuously brings different exercises and ideas to the class as I continues to learn and evolve my style of spontaneous and creative teaching.
